17. The driver plus 16 passenger seats

No.

Due to the number of passenger seats in the vehicles the driver must have a D1 category on their driving licence.

If you passed your test before 1 January 1997 you may well have the D1 category automatically on your licence. If not, then you will need to take a test to have D1 added to your driving licence.

Please see www.gov.uk/driving-licence-categories.

Minibuses

All children must travel in rear seats (any seats behind the driver) if a child car seat or an adult seat belt isn't fitted.

Children aged 3 or older must:

  • use a child car seat if there's one available in a minibus
  • use an adult seat belt if child car seats are not fitted or are unsuitable

Please see the full rules on GOV.UK

No. The minibuses are not fitted with tow bars.

Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ)

Our vehicles meet the ULEZ emissions standards
You do not need to pay a daily ULEZ charge to drive in the zone, and are helping to improve air quality across London.

However, if you enter the Congestion Charge (CC) zone during its operating time you will need to pay that daily charge to drive in central London.

Announcing the new District Commissioner for Greenford & District

Dear all,

It is my great pleasure to announce that Gangaveer Hunjan is our new District Commissioner for Greenford & District Scouts. His new role started on Monday 27th September. I am confident that you will all welcome him and support him as he has been supporting us as ADC(Scouts), District Trustee Board member and Deputy Unit Leader for some of our participants attending the World Scout Jamboree!

Cathy Muxlow
GLMW County Commissioner

Gangaveer Singh Hunjan, new District Commissioner

Hello all, I am very excited to be your new District Commissioner!

I have been fortunate enough to see first hand how great Greenford & District is to the many scouts (both young people and adult) within the District having come up as a beaver all the way through to the scout network as one of those people. I hope to continue to deliver that high quality of scouting and hope we can continue to learn new skills, experience new things and make more memories with one another.

I hope we can support each other on the next chapter for Greenford and District.

Ganga
